We work with a number of special consultants who bring expertise and knowledge from different sectors.

Jonathan Dean
Project Manager

Jonathan has led the fit-out team on the National Maritime Museum, developing the project brief and managing a large team of consultants.  Earlier he worked on the submission for planning and listed building consent.  Originally trained as a chartered engineer, he has been seconded to MRC from Rowney Sharman since 2008.  

His previous experience includes establishing the strategic direction and managing the team providing the design programme for the £700m Defence Training Academy.  On Ripley’s Trocadero he worked closely with the US client, and managed the client/landlord interfaces during the refurbishment and structural alterations within the Grade II listed facade.  The project was completed whilst the building remained occupied. Other projects include GE Healthcare Global Headquarters and the Amersham plc site redevelopment.

Austin Hogger
Associate

Austin has many years’ experience as a public sector Property Director; his career has included project management, project sponsorship, change management and research management roles for government departments followed by 12 years in local government. As well as wide experience in strategic property portfolio management, project and programme governance and sponsorship, he has a strong record of achievement in managing major organisational change.

Now an independent consultant and an Associate of Local Partnerships (formerly 4ps), he leads Gateway Reviews in a wide range of service sectors, as well as undertaking property asset management reviews, interim executive roles and consultancy commissions. Since January 2008 he has undertaken a Gateway Programme Executive role for LP/4ps including assessment and planning meetings, training, accreditation management and process reviews. Austin also has accreditation by OGC to lead Gateway Reviews for high risk Government projects and has security clearance.

Jim Meikle
Associate

Jim Meikle was formerly a partner of Davis Langdon LLP, where he established and managed the management consultancy division for twenty years. He retired in 2005 and now works as an independent consultant. His interests include construction industry policy and development, construction and housing economics, construction markets and international comparisons. Current commissions include managing a construction survey in the West Balkans for the European Union, reviewing construction industry policy for the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development and developing international comparison methodologies for the World Bank.  Jim is a module tutor at the Bartlett School, University College London, and a CABE enabler.

Clive Sheppard
IT Consultant

Clive and his team at Synapse UK have provided technical services and support to MRC since 2001.  Founded in 1998, Synapse specialise in acting as the “surrogate IT department” to over 250 companies and charities in the UK, Europe and beyond.  Clive has a healthy passion for all things “techie” and is frequently asked to head up technical teams on IT projects around the globe.

Jean-Michel Dentand
Web Designer

Is the designer of this website! Originally from Montreal, he settled in London 12 years ago. He studied cinema but quickly switched from the big to the smaller computer screen. He has designed several books, but now focuses on online design.
