Katie Allan

Project Manager
BA (Hons) Archaeology, APM Practitioner Qualification, (currently taking an MSc, Conservation in the Historic Environment)

Katie is a key member of the team on the National Maritime Museum, Sammy Ofer Wing project, where she liaises with the client, prepares documents and draws-up briefs used for selecting consultants.  She also supports the directors in advising the Royal Society of Chemistry on the restoration of their headquarters and administers the King’s Cross Square design competition.

She was responsible for much of the administration of the Glasgow School of Art design competition, a high-profile competition that attracted more than 150 entries, including some of the world’s most distinguished architects.  She handled day-to-day liaison with the client, answered enquiries, helped draft press releases and checked procedures against OJEU regulations.

Earlier projects included administering a design competition for the Wallace Collection, and supporting the directors who were masterplanning projects in Europe and Asia for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Katie’s commitment to heritage buildings is rooted in her belief in the importance of their social history and the need to secure them for future generations.
