Michael joined Malcolm Reading Consultants in 2007 having previously been head of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) UK Estate, directly responsible to Ministers.
He has continued to work with the FCO and key UK government departments assisting them on property strategy. He has advised on major refurbishment programmes, written feasibility studies and reviewed government estates in the UK and overseas in New Delhi, Dar es Salaam, Kabul, Dushanbe, Tbilisi, Islamabad, Damascus, Ottawa and Moscow.
He has significant experience of working with historic properties, managing refurbishments that needed to be adequately conserved and protected whilst being fit for use on a daily basis.
He has extensive experience of running complex programmes with numerous interested parties; all with valid issues that have to be considered. He is very comfortable working with senior officials and government ministers.
Michael is our quality assurance champion, (we are accredited under ISO 9001). All our projects are subject to regular reviews to ensure that all parties are happy and satisfied.
